Outbreaks of Gumboro ( Infections Bursal Disease) cause immense losses to the poultry farming community every year. The IBD is highly resistant to conventional methods of cleaning and disinfection and stays for longer time in the environment, this leads to higher incidences of recurring infections among new batches of chicks.
Chlor-T has proven to show destructive effect on gumboro virus.
The generic name of Chlor-T is Sodium-p-toluene sulfon chloramide. It is a white crystalline powder containing 20-25% w/w available chlorine. When dissolved into the water Chlor-T retains its activity for a considerably long period of time even in the presence of high organic load. Chlor-T acts as a reservoir releasing potent hypochlorous acid (HOCI) ensuring total destruction of gumboro virus in the environment. |

Make 0.5% solution of Chlor-T in water (5gm/lit) |
Make a through spray of this solution inside the shed @ 1 lit/ 100 sq.ft . shed area.
Chlor-T spray must be made in cleaned empty shed as a final step of the clean-out procedure. |

Precautions
Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. Chlor-T is for external use only. Store Chlor-T away from sunlight.
