PEROX DISINFECTANT FOR POULTRY
PEROX is a stabilized formulation of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide having a broad spectrum of antimicrobial activity. Perox acts by releasing nascent oxygen [O] and hydroxyl radicals OH-, which react with sulfhydryl and sulfur bonds present in structural and functional proteins of microbial cells and virus particles. The synergistic action of peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide leads to disruption of cell membrane and rupture of microbial cells. Peracetic acid has a proven destructive activity against sheathed and un-sheathed viral pathogens. Perox is nonfoaming and nontoxic at its user dilutions. Perox can be effectively used for terminal disinfection of sheds as well as for routine spraying and mopping operations in the hatchery and feed mill.
